The Hansen Ruminant Nutrition Lab is seeking an independent and driven individual to join our team as a Ph.D. graduate assistant starting in August 2020. The student will have the opportunity to contribute to the design of their research program within the current interests in our laboratory. Current research interests include vitamin and trace mineral roles in beef cattle growth and health, as well as improved understanding of growth promoting technologies. A minimum stipend of $24,500/year is guaranteed and Ph.D. students receive a full-tuition scholarship. Additional recruitment funding may be available but is not guaranteed. The Hansen team currently consists of 5 graduate students, post-doc, research coordinator, a lab manager and a host of undergraduate student researchers. We are an active and productive lab, seeking to produce talented and independent scientists ready to tackle any career in ruminant nutrition.
Applicants will be required to have completed an M.S. in Animal Science, Nutrition or a closely related field by August 2020.
