  1. I am Tamrat Dinkale Beyene from Ethiopia. I have graduated from Wollo University by Animal Science 2010 G.C. of bachelor degree and Animal production of MSc from Haramaya University 2019 G.C. Starting from graduation year to now, I am a researcher at Oromia Agricultural Research Institute in Mechara Agricultural Research Center in the position of animal feed breeder as assistance researcher II and now, I am Associate researcher I. In Ethiopia in general, there is the deficiency of animal feed, improved breed, animal health and etc due to climate changes and other related problems. This Problem causes low production and productivity in the country. When I upgrade my skill, I try to solve such kind of problem in the animal production sector to increase production and productivity. Ethiopia is one of the countries that leading African countries by a number of animal quantity and last by quality and quantity of production and productivity. This entire problem is happened due to the low level of knowledge concerning animal production. On the behind of me when I get the chance of Ph.D. in Animal feed quality at Wageningen University, Netherlands, I try to solve these obstacles of livestock production. So, I hope that I got this chance from the discipline by Animal science, Animal production, poultry, animal nutrition, animal breeding and Genetics, fishery, any field of the Livestock sector.

  2. I am Berihu Gebremariam Abay from Aksum university, Tigray, Ethiopia. I have graduated Bachelor of science degree in Animal production and Health from Haramaya University (2006) and Msc in Livestock production and Pastoral development from Mekelle University (2015) and now i am working as Lecturer in Aksum University, College of Agriculture in the department of animal Science. In Ethiopia there is critical problem in Animal feed shortage, improved genetic resources and animal health due to lack of well integrated animal and feed conservation skills as well as because of climate changes. These problems leads to have low production and productivity from the livestock sector to feed the community in Ethiopia. When I advance my skill, Knowledge and attitude Professionally, I believe that there might be areas which I can contribute to understand the relationships in between animal and biodiversity conservation at large issue. Moreover , it is known that Ethiopia is the leading country in livestock population from africa and 10th in the world, but last in livestock product and production due to the above mentioned critical problems. Thus, this entire problem is also occured due to the lack animal governance and biodiversity governance. As a result If I get the opportunity for PhD position in animals and biodiversity conservations, I can contribute to tackle the critical problems in livestock sector. Moreover, I hope that to consider me on PhD position in one of the decipline of animal science, animal Production, poultry production, animal biotechnology, animal Nutritio and /or other related fields of the sector.
