Tailored Opportunities: PASET RSIF 45 PhD scholarships

What?

The Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering & Technology (PASET), Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (RSIF) is an African initiative to bridge the skills gap and strengthen skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology to further socio-economic transformation in Sub-Saharan Africa. The program is 3-4 years in priority thematic area such as ICTs including big data and artificial intelligence, food security and agribusiness, minerals, mining and materials engineering, energy, including renewables and climate change. This program targets 45 RSIF PhD scholarships.

Who?

Applicant should be nationals of Sub-Saharan countries, who do not have a PhD degree and are not currently enrolled in any PhD program. With master’s degree in a related filed. Priority will be given to women and existing young academic faculty at African Universities. Applicant should also have demonstrated leadership potential, such as community service in areas related to PASET RSIF fields of study.

When?

The deadline of this application is 22nd July 2019 at 5:00PM (GMT). Scholarship will be awarded in September 2019 and begin studies in October 2019. They will spend 6-24 months, sandwich, training.

Benefits?

The scholarship cover costs of the PhD program including travel, living expenses, medical insurance, University fees, and supervisor and research support.
