This PhD will aim to feed the reflections led by Eau de Paris while contributing to the work undertaken, with the French Water Partnership, the acceleration for the implementation of the sustainable development goals and in particular the conference organized around this theme on June 26, 2019 in Paris. It is fully in line with the process of reflection conducted in France and internationally to respond to the UN issues of the 2030 Agenda.
The student will have to realize a state of the art on the notion of common good, and the stakes that this notion carries with regard to the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations, which highlight problems related to water on urban territories in a context of global change.
As part of its work, the student will be based on stories from the territories and various stakeholders, deepening and expanding in France and abroad. The objective will be to build on these stories to query the analysis of modes of production and water consumption for human consumption in different social, economic and environmental. One of the research projects will aim to analyze more specifically to adapt to change processes, changing practices and behaviors, interactions and their impacts on urban territories and stakeholders.
The objective of this thesis will examine the process of appropriation of water as a common good in the territories and see how global issues, expressed by the sustainable development goals, are reflected locally.
This research will bring out the brakes and levers of the transition to sustainable development by querying the knowledge, values and practices of different actors around projects in the field of water. It will contribute to the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals from the perspective of users.
