The Heidelberg Institutes in for Theoretical Studies (HITS), in Germany invites applicants for PhD and postdoc positions. HITS was established in 2010 as a private, non-profit research institute. The newly established computational Carbon Chemistry (CCC) research group at the institute seeks to fill one PhD and one Postdoctoral position to work on computational modelling of functional organic materials.
Applicants for PhD position should have a Master’s in Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline, preferably, experience in chemical modelling and numerical simulations.
Applicants for postdoc should have a PhD in computational or theoretical chemistry or material science, with a strong background in molecular (DFT, high-level ab initio) or condensed phase modelling (e.g., periodic DFT).
Application deadline is 1 June 2019
The applications should consists of a motivation letter, CV including a publications list, relevant certificates/diplomas and contact details of two referees and should be made online.
