Tailored Opportunities: TWAS (The World Academy of Sciences) Research Grants programme in Basic Sciences (group of Researchers)

The grants are awarded to promising high-level research projects in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics carried out by a group of research scientists in one of the Science and technology lagging countries identified by TWAS, where Ethiopia is included.

Who?

The leader should hold PhD in the field of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and with good research experience. The group can also include two PhD researchers and a number of PhD and MSc students, technicians etc. There is no age limit for the applicants. Applications from women scientists and those working in Least Developed Countries are especially encouraged.

When?

The deadline of this application is 22 April 2019

TWAS research grant applications can ONLY be submitted online

Benefits?

The maximum amount of the fund is maximum of USD 30,000 for a period of two years
