Tailored opportunities: Research Fund for International Young Scientists

What?

This is one of the programmes supported every year by the National Natural Science Fund. This programme is designed to encourage excellent international young scientists based abroad to come to mainland China to conduct basic research in Natural Sciences. The research topics include all areas of science, engineering and health research covered by the National Natural Science fund.

Who?

An applicant should be born after 1 January 1979, who hold Ph.D, have experienced in conducting basic research or postdoctoral research, and has already signed a cooperation agreement with a host institution in China.

When?

The application deadline is March 20 2019

How?

Applications are submitted by the application on the NSFC application platform. The password to activate an account on the application platform can only be generated by the Chinese host institution.

Benefits?

The funding is up to 200,000 RMB≈ USD 30,000 for one year projects and 400,000 RMB≈ USD 60,000 for projects that last two years.
