Tailored Opportunities: Fellowship for Early Career Women Scientists (ECWS) in Developing Countries


The Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) has planned to offer a 2-year fellowship to women scientists in selected developing countries to conduct international standard research at their home institutes, build research groups and link with industry.


This fellowship targets to early career women scientists who have completed their PhDs  with in ten years in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subjects ( Please visit the link to get the list of subjects for example Agricultural Sciences is included) and are employed at an academic or Scientific Research Institute in developing counties to lead important research projects, where Ethiopia is one among these countries.


The deadline for the application is April 30, 2019


All documents should be uploaded through the online application system


The award for this 2 years fellowship is about USD 50,000. In addition, the fellows will Build their leadership and management skill, improve their communication and outreach skills on how to present their research to different audiences and attract new collaborators and potential funders.
