Tailored opportunities: Call for an open online course on Research Writing in the Social Sciences


AuthorAID is a free pioneering global network that provides support for researchers in low and middle income countries. This is an AuthorAID online course that was given since 2012. This course is important mainly to satisfy training needs in research writing for the social scientists. This course has benefited thousands of researchers mainly those from developing countries.

Content of the course

  • Embarking on a research project
  • Research and publication ethics
  • Evidence based for a research paper
  • Preparing to wirte a research paper
  • Writing research paper and publishing it in a journal

Who can apply?

This course is designed mainly for early career social science researchers with limited experience in publishing papers in reputable peer-reviewed journals.

How to enrol/apply?

First, the applicant need to create an INASP Moodle account he/she did not have already.

Though the course is open, enrolment can be limited by server capacity therefore it is good to register as soon as possible
